I think the rooster came out great.
Having fun with paint is the most important and everything we learn adds to it. I like your picture here. The rooster makes me think of a baking mold as for chocolates or a cake tin.
I like this, I have a really old metal rooster just like that!

I had fun doing this rooster all in watercolor....trying to get the metallic effect was fun.
